Mr. Cockroftasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will take steps to exempt from VAT, members' subscriptions to trade associations such as the National Farmers' Union in the light of 665W the fact that the Governments of other EEC countries have not interpreted the EEC directive as a compulsion to do so.
