HC Deb 26 October 1977 vol 936 c787W
Mr. Gwynfor Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is the current annual expenditure of the non-elected bodies in Wales which are responsible to the Government; and what is the total cost in the current financial year of the services for which the Welsh Office has administrative responsibility.

Mr. John Morris:

In 1976–77 the Vote and other provision for services for which I am responsible to Parliament was nearly £635 million. Of this, some £446 million was spent by the statutory and other bodies responsible to me for the administration of particular services.
