asked the Minister for Overseas Development whether she will make a statement about assistance lately given to Mozambique.

Mr. Tomlinson:

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to my hon. Friend the Member for Aberdeen, North (Mr. Hughes) on Monday 25th July 1977. —[Vol. 936, c. 111]. The £5 million loan agreement which my right hon. Friend signed in Mozambique on 18th October was in confirmation of that pledge.
