asked the Secretary of State for Transport what progress has been made on the recommendations of the Central Transport Consultative Committee relating to the conveyance of livestock by rail.

Mr. Horam:

I understand that discussions between the British Railways Board and interested parties are progressing satisfactorily, but have not as yet reached firm conclusions on the changes recommended by the CTCC.
