HC Deb 26 October 1977 vol 936 c865W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what planning controls apply to fish farms.

Mr. Guy Barnett:

The definition of agriculture in the Town and Country Planning Act 1971 includes the breeding and keeping of livestock (including any creature kept for the production of food) and thus appears to cover fish farming, which is therefore subject only to those controls applicable to agricultural buildings.
