asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will publish in the Official Report a table similar to that published on 21st June, columns 461–2, showing the EEC common levies on foodstuffs together with related accession compensatory amounts and monetary compensatory amounts for the latest available date together with the net cost to the importer.

The following is the information requested applicable on 11th October 1977.

In practice EEC common levies and accession compensatory amounts are expressed in sterling after conversion at the representative rate. But, as in the previous table, the levies and accession compensatory amounts in this table have been converted to sterling at the current market rate of exchange used for the purposes of the monetary compensatory amounts (£1=1.27830 ua). †ACAs in the Pigment sector other than for Lard were abolished w.e.f. 15th June 1977, and for Lard from 1st August 1977.
‡Includes a supplementary levy of £15.65/100 Kg. (Applicable on imports from certain countries of origin.) Regulations provide for supplementary levies to operate in this sector when average free at frontier offer prices fall below sluicegate prices.
