HC Deb 26 October 1977 vol 936 c741W
Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will take steps to make known to all prescribing doctors any information available to him on the interaction between dextropropoxyphene hydrochloride and carbamazepine, which may cause dizziness, nausea, tiredness and headaches.

Mr. Moyle

I am advised that these effects can be associated with the use of either substance on its own. Data sheets and other literature contain appropriate references for the information of doctors. If my hon. Friend has evidence of a new problem, I should be glad to have it.
