§ Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether she will advise universities to waive or reduce the tuition fees charged to self-financed students during the practical year of sandwich courses under industrial sponsorship schemes.
§ Mr. OakesI am advised that universities will deal sympathetically with cases of hardship which arise in this area in the current academic year. I am at present considering the question so far as the academic year 1978–79 is concerned.
