§ 37. Mr. O'Halloranasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether any additional funds will be made available to the Inner London Education Authority for schools rebuilding.
§ Miss Margaret JacksonIn addition to the Inner London Education Authority's school building allocation of £841,000 for 1977–78 the authority has already received additional resources amounting to £2,250,000 under the inner cities programme this year, and £370,000 as part of the aid to the construction industry announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer on 15th July. There will be a further addition as a consequence of the establishment of the new partnership arrangement for Hackney and Islington. For 1978–79 the authority's school building planning allocation is £1,740,000, and it can expect to benefit from the urban programme. It will also be invited to submit projects for inclusion in the special programme to assist reorganisation announced by my right hon. Friend on 18th November.
