§ Mr. Merlyn ReesOn the National Joint Council for Local Authorities' Fire Brigades the two Sides consist of the employers, representing the fire authorities and, so far as pay of the lower ranks of the fire service is concerned, the Fire Brigades Union representing the employees. The last formal meetings which I had with the two Sides of the Council was on 18th November, but I have remained in regular touch with the Joint Secretaries of the Council.
