HC Deb 29 November 1977 vol 940 cc118-9W
Mr. MacFarquhar

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what are the most recent figures for the average daily traffic flows on the M69, Coventry-Leicester, motorway since it was opened in July; and what is the current design capacity of the road.

Mr. William Rodgers

Traffic counts were taken between 21st–30th October; the average number of vehicles per day was 17,000. The motorway was designed for a traffic range of 45,000–72,000 vehicles per day by 1992.
