§ Miss Margaret JacksonThe authority will shortly be advised of its rate support grant needs element entitlement for 1978–79, which latest estimates suggest should be over 20 per cent. higher in cash terms than in 1977–78. Rate support grant is, 169W of course, a block grant, and it is for the authority to determine its own spending priorities.
