HC Deb 29 November 1977 vol 940 c194W
Mr. Fitt

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many specially designed dwellings for persons confined to a wheelchair are available in each area health board.

Mr. Carter,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 15th November 1977; Vol. 939, c. 205], gave the following information

It is not possible to estimate the number of specially designed dwellings for persons confined to a wheelchair by health board area. However, of the 28 new wheelchair dwellings built by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive since March 1976, 19 were built within the Housing Executive's western region, seven within the Belfast region and two within the eastern region.

Similar information about private houses is not available.
