asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the level of public expenditure in the United Kingdom, average expenditure per head, at the latest available date for which figures are available in each of the following categories: (a) social security, (b) health, (c) housing, (d) education, (e) personal social services, (f) other environmental services, (g) science and art, and (h) law and order and protective services.
