asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list in the Official Report the pregnancy tests which can be taken without the danger of foetal damage.

Mr. Moyle,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 21st November 1977; Vol. 939, c. 466], gave the following information:

No effective drug can be guaranteed to be completely free of side effects. There are a number of laboratory tests for pregnancy which are carried out on urine samples and such tests are widely used. The laboratory tests do not involve the administration of any drug substance.
