asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what changes have been made in the membership of the Yorkshire and Humberside Economic Planning Council in the past year; and whether any new appointments are being considered especially to increase the proportion of members associated with West Yorkshire.

We are currently reviewing the membership of the Yorkshire and Humberside Economic Planning Council and hope to make an announcement of the membership of the new Council shortly. Some new appointments are being considered.
