§ Mr. GoldingI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that in these three financial years, the number of candidates placed by Professional and Executive Recruitment (PER) was 8,102, 6,701 and 8,921, respectively.
The total amount received by PER from public funds in the three years in question was £1.8 million, £2.3 million and £2.8 million respectively. These sums include the cost of all the social—that is, non-commercial and non-recruitment activities—Services provided by PER, most of which have increased in volume and scope over the period.
