§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland who is responsible for the policy pursued by the Rathgael and Whiteabbey Schools Management Board with regard to assessments made under a training school order.
§ Mr. CarterAssessments are the responsibility of the Rathgael and White abbey Schools Management Boards, which are responsible for all day-to-day policy at the training schools. 599W However, in accordance with Schedule 5 to the Children and Young Persons Act (Northern Ireland) 1968 the Secretary of State may give directions if it appears to him that any provision for the education, training or welfare of persons under their care is inadequate or unsuitable.
