§ Mr. Peter Bottomleyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he will list in the Official Report (a) the long-term and (b) the ordinary supplementary benefit rate for a single person, a married couple, a married couple with two children under 11 years of age and a married 227W couple with four children—two under 11 years of age and two over 11 years of age —including an average rent payment, as a percentage of average gross earnings for each year since 1964;
(2) if he will list in the Official Report (a) the long-term and (b) the ordinary supplementary benefit rate for a single person, a married couple, a married couple with two children under 11 years of age and a married couple with four children—two under 11 years of age and two over 11 years of age—including an average rent payment, as a percentage of average net earnings for each year since 1972.
§ Mr. OrmeI would refer the hon. Member to the tables on pages 131 and 132 of the Supplementary Benefits Commission's Annual Report for 1976. A more precise answer could be given if the hon. Member would let me know the exact ages of the children he has in mind.
