HC Deb 16 November 1977 vol 939 cc216-7W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he expects that the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries will be in a position to reply to the secretaries of the Clyde Fishermen's Association regarding an incident on 19th April 1977 involving the fishing vessels "Mayflower" BA257 of Girvan and the "Wellspring" CN207 of Campbeltown, which were ordered to dump their catches by the fisheries cruiser "Brenda".

Mr. Hugh D. Brown

I regret that the investigations into the matter raised in the association's letter of 19th May 1977 have been unduly protracted. These have now been completed, however, and a reply has been sent to the association.
