§ Mr. John Mooreasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what criteria her Department uses when considering licentiates of University College, Buckingham, for postgraduate studentships awarded by her Department; and whether there is a settled policy of treating University College, Buckingham, and other university institutions similarly in this regard.
§ Mr. OakesCandidates in the competition for my Department's studentships who do not hold a degree of a British university established by charter or Act of Parliament, or validated by the Council for National Academic Awards, may be considered exceptionally in the light of the recommendations of the university or other institution sponsoring them.
