HC Deb 15 November 1977 vol 939 c202W
Mr. Trotter

asked the Secretary of State for Defence, having regard to the Armed Forces Pay Review Body's comment that the pay of the Armed Forces was markedly short of the levels justified by outside evidence, if he will now ask the Review Body to quantify the extent of the shortfall and the resulting hardship so that the public may be aware of the sacrifice being incurred by those serving in the Armed Forces.

Mr. Mulley

I can assure the hon. Member that the evidence we are at present giving to the Review Body is comprehensive. The content of its report is, of course, a matter for the Review Body.
