HC Deb 15 November 1977 vol 939 cc199-200W
Mr. Churchill

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will list in the Official Report the total value of defence sales between the United Kingdom and the United States of America, in both directions, in each of the past 10 years, and those projected for the current financial year.

Dr. Gilbert

It has been the policy of successive Governments not to divulge the value of defence equipment trade between the United Kingdom and individual countries or groups of countries.

Mr. George Cunningham

asked the Secretary of State for Defence under what Sub-heads in the Estimates and Appropriation Accounts the items within which money was paid to Sir Shapoor Reporter as commission for organising arms sales to Iran appear.

Dr. Gilbert

Agents fees to Sir Shapoor Reporter in connection with defence sales to Iran have been paid out of the proceeds of the sales. As such they are not

are officers of all three ranks in Service appointments, though not all have two children. In Bonn there is a major general in a Service appointment and a RN captain with two children in a representational appointment. Details of allowances etc. payable where the necessary criteria are satisfied are as follows:

included in any items appearing in Sub-heads in Estimates and Appropriation Accounts.
