HC Deb 15 November 1977 vol 939 cc148-9W
Miss Maynard

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many agricultural dwelling-house advisory committees have met in 1977 to the end of September; and how many found in favour of the farmer.

Mr. Strang

The number of time agricultural dwelling-house committees meet is not recorded, but in the period to 30th September 1977 requests for ADHAC advice were received in 727 cases. In 515, ADHAC advice to local housing authorities reflected agricultural need, 124 requests were subsequently withdrawn and at 30th September 43 cases were still under consideration. In the remaining 45 cases, ADHAC advice found that agricultural need had not been established.
