§ Mr. Simsasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list in the Official Report the number of places in community homes designated as secure in each of the regional planning committee areas as at 9th November 1977, indicating in each case how many of these places are available for boys and how many for girls.

Within the next few months, however, a further 36 places for boys, and 32 places for girls, will come into use at Aycliffe (Region 1), Southwood (Region 8), and Middlesex Lodge (Region 8).
