HC Deb 15 November 1977 vol 939 c179W
25. Mr. Goodhart

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many people are unemployed in the Greater London borough of Bromley; and how many of these are under the age of 21 years.

Mr. Golding

At 13th October, 6,053 people were registered as unemployed in the area covered by the Bromley, Beckenham, Orpington and Sidcup employment offices, which correspond closely with the London borough of Bromley. At 14th July, the latest date for which the half-yearly age analysis is available, 1,707 young people under 20 years of age were registered as unemployed in this area out of a total of 6,468. Statistics are not available for those under 21 years of age.
