asked the Secretary of State for Transport what is the estimated cost for the current year of the road construction units, including sub-units and payments in reimbursement of county council spending on these organisations.

£20.6 million excluding the cost of accommodation, which is not provided by my Department.

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list, at the most recent appropriate date, the road schemes currently under construction which are under the control of Eastern, North-Eastern, Midlands, North-Western, South-Western and South-Eastern road construction units.
