§ Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will make a statement on the Under-Secretary of State's recent visit to Liverpool to discuss the inner area partnership.
§ Mr. CryerThe first meeting of the Liverpool Partnership Committee which I attended was a most encouraging start to these new arrangements to help tackle the severe problems of inner Liverpool, The Committee agreed among other things to set in hand an action programme for the inner area. I also took the opportunity to visit tenants of the Department's advance factories at Sandon Way and at Rockferry. These two developments have a total floor space of 91,000 sq. ft. and a potential to provide some 340 jobs. They are intended primarily for the use of small firms.
