§ Mr. Adleyasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will ask the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service to use its good offices to settle the dispute which is disrupting lift and escalator services due to industrial action by engineers, in order to alleviate the inconvenience, hardship, and danger being caused, particularly to the elderly; and if he will make a statement.
