§ Mrs. Chalkerasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the total sum granted to voluntary organisations in each of the years 1973–74, 1974–75, 1975–76, 1976–77; what is the size of the grants budgeted for 1977–78, 1978–79 and 1979–80: and if he will detail them.
§ Mr. McElhone:The total grants paid by my right hon. Friend to voluntary organisations in the social work, health and youth and community fields in each of the years 1973–74, 1974–75, 1975–76 and 1976–77 are shown in the following table. Grants for 1977–78 are expected to be not less than for 1976–77. Final decisions have not yet been taken about grants in later years.
26th October. Subject to the approval of the House, these will raise the ceilings for grant on standard amenities and repairs and for discretionary grant.
