HC Deb 11 November 1977 vol 938 cc255-6W
Mr. Rose

asked the Attorney-General (1) whether he will refer new evidence supplied by Mrs. Skala and Mrs. Simpson to the Director of Public Prosecutions with a view to considering whether this constitutes sufficient evidence to enable the Director of Public Prosecutions to prosecute Shelagh Farrow as an accomplice to a murder committed by Trevor Hardy;

(2) whether, in the light of the evidence disclosed at the trial of Trevor Hardy for three murders, he will refer the papers to the Director of Public Prosecutions with a view to considering the prosecution of Shelagh Farrow for receiving stolen goods :

(3) whether, in the light of new evidence concerning the original statement of Shelagh Farrow providing a false alibi for convicted triple murderer Trevor Hardy, he will refer the matter to the Director of Public Prosecutions with a view to considering proceedings against her for perjury, or signing a false statement.

The Solicitor-General:

I have written to my hon. Friend confirming that I have undertaken to my hon. Friend the Member for Manchester, Openshaw (Mr. Morris) to consider these questions again with the Director of Public Prosecutions when I have received from him in writing the further representations on behalf of their constituents.
