HC Deb 11 November 1977 vol 938 cc305-6W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations have been made, or other actions taken, concerning the firing into Rhodesia, being British territory, by Zambian forces.

Mr. Rowlands:

The purpose of Field Marshal Lord Carver's recent visit to Southern Africa was to initiate talks that would lead as soon as possible to a cease fire in Rhodesia and to an end to hostilities on her borders as well as within the country.
