§ Mr. Ralph Howellasked the Minister of Overseas Development if she will publish a table listing all the loans or grants made to overseas countries by her Department since April 1974 showing in each case the name of the recipient country, the total value of the loan or grant, the rate of interest, where appropriate, and the purpose for which the money was required.
§ Mrs. Hart:New loan and grant commitments made to overseas countries since April 1974 total £714 million. Details of all loans and grants and the annual requirements against them appear in the 276W Supply Estimates. Appendix I, Class II, Vote 8 lists each recipient country, the total commitment, the rate of interest where appropriate and, so far as is possible when the loan or grant is made, the purpose for which it is intended.
