HC Deb 11 November 1977 vol 938 c288W
Mr. Christopher Price

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will ensure that all general practitioners are informed that it is illegal to make a charge for signing postal vote certificates for electoral purposes.

Mr. Moyle:

The terms of service for doctors in the National Health Service (General Medical and Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 1974 already make it clear that general practitioners should not charge their patients for signing such certificates if they are required on grounds of physical incapacity.
