§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether in his recent Budget he will arrange for all workers to be entitled to claim full cash of their travel to and from their place of work and home without tax deductions, at the same rates as that enjoyed by Ministers of the Crown and the two former Prime Ministers.
§ Mr. Robert Sheldon:The tax treatment of the expenses of travel between home and work is exactly the same for Ministers of the Crown and former Prime Ministers as it is for employees generally.
