Mr. David Mitchell

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he is yet in a position to announce the Government's response to the 1976 South-East and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Guy Barnett:

A number of new Government policies and initiatives have had to be taken into account in the response to the 1976 Review of the Strategic Plan for the South-East. However, my right hon. Friend still hopes to issue it before long.
