asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the average tax relief granted to owner-occupiers pur- chasing their homes on mortgages in Scotland and the United Kingdom, respectively; and what is the total mount of relief granted for both Scotland and the United Kingdom.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will take steps to end the situation whereby tax relief on a mortgage taken out by a woman before marriage is paid to a husband even where he does not take on the repayments.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the total value of bad debts incurred in mortgage transactions written off by secondary banks for the last 10 years; in how many cases such banks have resorted successfully to foreclosure procedure; what is the total number of properties; what is the total volume of such property subjected to foreclosure sale during the same period; and if he will make a statement.
