Mr. Kenneth Clarke

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what proposals the Government have made to the Receiver of the Fairey Company about the possible use of its powers under the Industry Act 1972 ; and what response has been received.

Mr. Cryer:

The Receiver is aware of the possibilities of selective financial assistance under the Industry Act 1972.
