§ Mrs. Bainasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received that List D schools in Scotland be administered nationally, rather than regionally; and if he will make a statement on proposed future administrative patterns.
§ Mr. McElhone:A number of organisatins which were consulted by my right hon. Friend about the future of the List D schools have expressed opposition to the proposed transfer of the schools to the local authorities, while others are in favour of this proposal. My right hon. Friend intends to make a further statement when the consultations are complete.
