§ Mr. Powellasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether any grant from the Department of Commerce in respect of past periods is due to Container Refurbishing Limited, Newry, but not yet paid; and when he expects any such payment to be made.
§ Mr. Concannon:A claim for payment of employment and capital grants from Container Refurbishing Ltd., was received by the Department of Commerce on 7th November 1977. It is not possible to say whether or when payment of these grants will be made since the company has failed to fulfill a condition, attached to the offer of assistance, which requires the submission of annual audited accounts; moreover, up-to-date financial information will be required in order to establish the longer-term viability of the company. All claims for grant that were received before 7th November have been paid.
