§ 43. Sir G. de Freitasasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will hold an inquiry into the working of the Oxford Regional Health Authority in view of its decision of Friday 14th October on the underfunding of services in Northamptonshire which results in 50W discrimination against the citizens of Kettering and Corby districts as citizens of Northamptonshire.
§ Mr. MoyleNo. At the meeting to which my hon. Friend refers in his Question, the Oxford Regional Health Authority decided to allocate £102,000 additional revenue to Northamptonshire Area Health Authority for the year 1978–79 over 1977–78. It deferred consideration of how a sum of £350,000 available to it for 1978–79 might be allocated. I understand that at its meeting on 4th November it decided to allocate the whole of this amount to Northamptonshire Area Health Authority.
