§ Mr. Pardoeasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will estimate what percentage of the employer's total payroll will be payable in the employers' national insurance contribution and surcharge in the financial year 1978–79.
§ Mr. OrmeThe percentage rate of employers' contributions and the limit of earnings to which this will be applied in 1978–79 are still under consideration, as are all other rates and levels of contributions for that year. I regret therefore that it is not possible to make the required estimate.
