§ Mr. James Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he is yet in a position to make an announcement on the level of fees for the survey of fishing vessels.
§ Mr. Clinton Davis :Following representations by the Fishing Industry Safety Group it has been decided that initial surveys of existing fishing vessels will be charged for at the lower level applicable to subsequent renewal surveys. Together with an instalment system which is being introduced, this will ease the cost to fishing vessel owners where it is most needed.
