§ Mr. Buchananasked the Prime Minister whether he will make a statement on the payment of a salary increase for the groups covered by the terms of reference of the Review Body on Top Salaries.
§ The Prime MinisterThe Government, after consultation with the Review Body on Top Salaries, have approved an increase of £208 a year for the higher Civil Service, senior officers of the Armed Forces, certain members of the judiciary and nationalised industry board members. This increase is payable from 1st January 1977 and is in accordance with the guidelines for the current round on incomes policy.
