§ Mr. MoyleA census of production of the pharmaceutical chemicals and preparations industry carried out in 1972 showed that the net output in Scotland in that year totalled £2.796 million compared with a total net output of £326.807 million in the whole United Kingdom. The Census of Employment for 1975 showed that in June 1975 there were 3,300 employees in the industry in Scotland compared with 76,200 in the United Kingdom. More up to date figures are not available.
