§ Mr. GoldingThis Department's unemployment statistics are analysed according to the minimum list headings of the Standard Industrial Classification. The supply of building materials in most cases forms a part only of a number of such headings and, therefore, comprehensive statistics cannot be provided. Unemployed people who last worked in building materials supply are not included among the 227,443 unemployed at 10th February who last worked in the construction industry.
