§ Mr. Luceasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the strength of the Belize Police Force and local defence force and what plans he has to strengthen the local defence force.
§ Mr. LuardThe Belize Police Force currently numbers 653 men. There is also a Belize Volunteer Guard. We are assisting the Belize Government in the establishment and training of a local defence force.
