Apart from the Chairman of the Dental Estimates Board and the salaried members of the Pneumoconiosis Medical 396W panels, all these appointments are part-time.

My right hon. Friend keeps under review the number of paid public appointments he makes to ensure that there are no more than are needed for the work to be done. In many cases the number of appointments are enumerated in the controlling statute or constitution.
