HC Deb 24 May 1977 vol 932 cc455-6W
Mr. David Young

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what advice he gives to British exporting groups on methods of obtaining exports.

Mr. Meacher

Working closely with the overseas posts of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, my Department provides a wide range of advice to British exporters, including advice on the laws and general conditions existing in overseas markets. I would refer my hon. Friend to the statement in the House by my right hon. Friend the Chief Secretary to the Treasury on 18th May.
