HC Deb 20 May 1977 vol 932 c320W
Mr. Kenneth Clarke

asked the Secretary of State for Industry why the Government have not put into effect any of the recommendations of the Constructional Steelwork Sector Working Party that depend on Government action.

Mr. Armstrong

I have been asked to reply.

Action has been taken by the Government on a number of the matters on which the sector working party made recommendations. Where recommendations have not been accepted this has been after very careful consideration, and the reasons have been given to the sector working party. Some recommendations are still under consideration.
